Thanksgiving Thursday!

The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. . .

Given us things that we need to live. . . air to breathe

Given us things that we enjoy, but don't necessarily need. . . heat in the winter

Given us things that we enjoy and are useful, but don't need at all. . . computers

Given us things that we enjoy, but don't need and aren't useful. . . video games

Given us life, and the joys. . . and trials therein

He has blessed us by putting us on this side of the cross. In this country where we can freely praise the one true God. Has given us very easy accessibility to His Word. Has given us teachers, so we know how to read. . . so we can read the Bible. Has given us men of God to teach, so we can get an understanding, and understand what our Lord says in His Word.

Our sermon from this past Sunday:
Reminders (3) - Thankfulness ~Jonathan Crosby - The Church of Greenville

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of Christ Jesus concerning you.
~ 1 Thessalonians 5:18

May we ever thank our Lord for His many blessings towards us!

And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it cam to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
~Luke 17:11-18

May we be as the one Samaritan who turned back and glorified God, giving thanks, with a loud voice!

  1. My prayer is that Greg & I and all our children remember to always thank those who do special things for us AND that we continually thank & praise the Lord for everything He does. His fellowship with us and His incredible sacrifice on our behalf is always worthy of our praise and adoration.
