11 Weeks

You know what is amazing? How God made babies to grow so rapidly inside the womb...

Olive is now the size of a fig!

And she/he is about one and a half inches long from head to rump!

It is exciting and mystifying how something can grow so fast in such a short amount of time!

It is amazing that it is not I who told my body to make another, but the Lord!

Now I am going to take something from a gal whose blog I follow.

Baby's Growth: So fast! Olive is about a half inch longer than last week! His/Her bones are beginning to harden some and toothbuds are beginning to appear in their mouth. Olive is moving a lot, though I won't be able to feel the movements for a few more weeks yet. Bryant puts his ear to my stomach, then sits up and tells me, "Stringbean is doing the back stroke" : ) Watching the video for the 10-14th week was amazing to me, the Lord has made a beautiful creation in every pregnant woman's body!

Maternity Clothes: None as of yet. I am still in most of my normal clothes, and haven't increased the size yet. My mother-in-law has blessed me by giving me some of her maternity clothes, and my mom has taken me shopping to buy a few things of my own. They have both been a blessing with providing things that we need.

Symptoms: Just nausea and a few headaches is all I have, thank the Lord!

Changes to Mommy: Still, an unnoticeable bump that slowly continues to get bigger.

Food Cravings: Salty flavored things like crackers,Sun Chips, and occasionally dill pickles is pretty much all I crave.

Milestones? I went to the family doctor on Thursday to be officially told that I am indeed pregnant. She was kind and gave me a ton of information on things that I didn't know, and hadn't thought of asking anyone.

Thank you Anna for the idea of the list!

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
Psalm 145:17

For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 117:2

Praise be to God for His merciful kindness to His people!

  1. I would much rather call the baby Olive than Fig! I love to see these update every week! Babies are a miracle from the Lord.

  2. Praise the Lord for His marvelous works! I am thankful for the technology we have that allows us to see the progress of the baby's growth! It is really neat! I pray that you continue in health and well being! The Lord bless you dear! See you tomorrow, Lord willing! P.s. Can't wait to be able to see your "baby-bump" I think it's so cute ;) Love you!

  4. @ Momma: They are miracles and little blessings! I enjoy writing the updates. :)

@ Brytni: Agreed! Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised! Thank you for the prayers!

@ Aunt Jodi: I only want to have one ultrasound, and that will probably be in Feb. or Mar. (about 20 weeks) when we will be able to see the gender if the Lord is willing for us to.

    Love you all!

  5. Please don't tie my grand baby up in a tree. I don't think that is a wise use of your time. When I did it to Rob and Andy, they eventually wiggled free and feel and hit their heads on the sidewalk. It explains a lot.

    Dad.
