35 weeks

Only 5 weeks left... two weeks and I'll be considered full term!

The Lord has blessed me very much by giving me what I think is a very easy pregnancy... though I do complain about most some of the "symptoms". My morning sickness was just nauseousness. Heartburn hasn't really hurt, its just been an annoyance. My feet haven't been swollen except for just this past weekend, and I think that is just from riding in a van for long periods of time. Though, shamefully, I complain to my husband about swollen feet and stretch marks; the Lord has blessed me greatly with the ease of carrying Robert, and I am very thankful for it.

"Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight." Source

Week 35

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Week 33

33 weeks and 3 days today!

Its funny that I feel so big, but am told I am tiny for how far along I am...

"This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood." Source

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my best friend!

Happy Birthday to my protector and leader!

Happy Birthday to the father of our son!

Happy Birthday to my dear husband of 7 months!

I am grateful to the Lord for keeping you on the Earth for 22 years now, though I've only known you for 1 and a half of those many years. I pray that the Lord will preserve you for many, many more years to come... to grow old with me, and watch our son grow to become a man just like his daddy!

I love you Bryant! and hope you have a very joyful birthday!

(and as Aunt Jodi said, your gift will be here in about two months!)

31 Weeks

Robert feels like he is just so big, though I know he will just be getting bigger. He should now weigh a little more than 3 pounds, comparable to four naval oranges, and should be about 16 inches long.

"He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: all this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy."
