Week 26!

The General is growing. . . or at least making me grow : )

We are 26 weeks along. He should be around 14 inches tall and weigh around a pound and a half. His length is comparable to an "English hothouse cucumber"

Robert should be learning how to "breathe", he is practicing by inhaling and exhaling the fluid around him.
His ears continue to develop, and, Lord willing, if they are growing correctly, he could be able to hear regular volume voices that are near to me.
Robert is putting on fat, hence his making me grow rounder.

I'm getting more and more excited about holding Robert, but more and more anxious about the delivery. Though, I am trusting the Lord for the courage in delivering Robert, and resting in the fact that He made the female body for doing this as one of her purposes.

25 Weeks

I can't believe that it is only about 15 weeks till Bryant and I will be holding our little Robert!

I just realized that although most, if not all, of you know his name, I did not post it on here. Our son's name is:

Robert Edward Lee Cutler

All of the individual names are family names, and the whole name has significance because of the famous General. (Pictured to the right)       -------->

The General should be starting to gain his baby fat and growing hair.  He is just a little larger than last week in height, and weighs about a pound and a half. His weight is comparable to that of a rutabaga.

Garden

Bryant gave me a project to do today.

Planting a new garden!

We have tomatoes, lettuce, and strawberries (in the pot). Our box is almost full, and Bryant wants to plant a pepper of some kind also. It was fun filling up our box and the strawberry pot this morning.

Lord willing, this summer we will have fresh vegetables for a tasty addition to our suppers.

Thanksgiving Thursday

Wow! I haven't done a Thanksgiving post in a while...

This week I am very thankful to the Lord for the friends he has given us in the church and family that  so cheerfully willing to give up a Saturday morning to help us.

This past Saturday Bryant and I moved into our new apartment. It was exciting to see this place filling with our things. Our friends; Ryan, Sarah, and Jason; forfeited most of their Saturday and the use of their vehicles to assist us. My parents and younger siblings came up with a couple items of furniture and things for Robert, and helped with the haul. I am extremely grateful to them for their helping us when just the two of us couldn't do it in one day.

The Lord has also blessed us with a son that is now 24 Weeks in the making. We have been given so much for Robert! and are very thankful to those who have gifted them to us.

He should be about a foot long, and weigh a little more than a pound.

I greatly enjoy his movements, especially his kicks and punches that Bryant can feel also.

The pictures are of all our loafers/dock shoes and of my "Bob" belly.

23 Weeks

The General is now at 23 weeks gestation! :)

He should weigh about a pound! and should measure almost a foot tall/long! His weight is comparable to a large MANGO.

Robert is kicking a little bit harder now, just enough so I can see my stomach jump with his little kicks and punches.

According to BabyCenter.com, he can feel my movements and hear noises going on in the "outside world". The General's body is working on his lungs, preparing for the daily practice of breathing. :)

This what Robert looks like this week:

(sorry I cut my face, I was trying to get my "Bob" belly)

Chicks in our apartment...

We are taking care of some chicks for the Jacksons so that they can take them home when returning from helping us move... I thought I would buy them a week in advance so that Kathryn could have some fun raising them for a week while she packs :D

... Oh, and yes, they're in our living room :)

Chicken Run

This week the store that Bryant works at is having a sale on chickens. The only problem is that they sold out of chicks on Saturday. This morning Bryant volunteered to go and pick a few hundred up from a hatchery a couple of hours away. He came home and picked me so I could ride with him. We are about 45 minutes to an hour away from home now with 6 boxes filled with chirping chicks. It was a nice ride both there and back. :) The picture is of some of the boxes in the backseat.

School

Bryant is working on a project for his online class today. He unpacked his monitor and keyboard to make his setup. Nifty isn't it? :) His online course is intro to data processing. So far it has been stuff he already knows so he can fly through each chapter.

Class

Tonight Kathryn and I are in class... I take algebra on Thursday and she takes American Government...  I took American Government last semester, so I know how much fun she is having, but me.... Well, you know how it is. :D  Anyway, today we got to see our apartment we will be moving into next weekend (the 10th). Yay! It is a two bedroom that is laid out better and gives us more room. We are both very excited that we will be moving for the first time together... We are already expanding to compensate for all the room "the general" is going to take up :)

Well, ok, so Bob won't take up that much room for a while but we like to be hospitable, so we like to have more room for friends  :)

Kathryn's Bob belly keeps showing more and to me it becomes more realistic everyday that there is a baby that will be coming out soon... Yikes! Well, not really... I can't wait! The Lord willing I will be ready and able to take care of "the general" when he does make his appearance, but it is sobering.

Yes, for those wondering, I am writing this post during class, with my tablet... But, she is reviewing the (don't know how to spell it) pathagorian theorem, ya know (aa+bb=cc)  :)

I hope this hasn't been too boring... I just realized that this is probably the first time I've actually posted on our blog... Haha!

Have a great evening! ~ Bryant
